Canvas Print
A canvas print, not to be confused with a canvas painting, is an image printed from an inkjet printer onto canvas. Once printed, the canvas gets stretched onto a frame.
Some people opt for a frameless border while others prefer framed canvas prints. To create an unframed canvas print, many use the gallery-wrapping technique. During this process, the canvas is wrapped around the stretcher bars and secured to the frame.
Canvas prints can be either framed or unframed, depending on your decor and preference for the room. The frames must be thick enough to contain the entire canvas print however.
Oil Painting Stretcher
The value of stretching your artwork lies in the fact that your canvas is prevented from creasing excessively, thus protecting it. Once wrapped and fixed around a frame, it is also much easier to hang for display purposes.
We use hard wood so that the frame doesn’t warp and end up ruining your piece. We abstain from gluing the piece to the wood so that it can be re framed at a later stage without damaging your canvas.
